I believe the spaces in your home can both reflect your personality, and influence your mood. Blending contemporary furnishings with vintage finds, Haven & Habit aims to give every space in your home an element that makes you want to stay awhile.
Molly was able to take my simple ideas and turn them into an entire first floor redesign. Her vision and attention to detail made me fall back in love with my house.
For as long as I can remember I’ve always had a love for the elements of interior design. As a child I rearranged the furniture of my bedroom in every possible way. During my teenage years, I perused the tile selections of my father’s masonry store while completing my chore of dusting shelves. In college I painted my apartments all combinations of colors, coordinated decor and began to teach myself how to refinish furniture found at garage sales.
I earned my master’s degree in occupational therapy and while I love the work I do with patients, I knew I wasn’t fully satisfied. It wasn’t until I became a homeowner that my focus shifted. I realized how much I enjoy injecting personality into tired, plain spaces. I feel excitement in creating a solution for a small, unuseable-feeling nook. I find pride in turning an ordinary fireplace into the focal point of a room.
Sharing before and afters of home projects and styling led to family and friends reaching out for advice and, ultimately, to me realizing this was a passion I needed to share with others. Choosing paint colors and tile, creating a statement wall, choosing fixtures, hunting for soft furnishings and decor, I enjoy it all. I aim to help clients express their unique preferences and explore possibilities in a way that meets their budget. If you’re ready to make a change in your home, I’m ready to help you through the process.
